We dropped our 2 unit UNDER play last night as the Blackhawks won 5-2 which included an empty netter. The game was 2-1 heading into the 3rd period and I thought we looked really good to hit the UNDER, but a third period that featured 4 goals ruined that. It wasn’t all bad last night as our 5 UNIT GOM Underdog series play on the Sharks took a 2-0 lead heading back to San Jose now with the Sharks winning in overtime. Our 4 unit GOW underdog series play on the Senators is all even 1-1 after their loss last night, but home ice advantage swings back to the Sens with 3 of the next 5 possible games in Ottawa.
Tonight I’ve got one play going…
2 UNIT = Toronto Maple Leafs @ Boston Bruins – MAPLE LEAFS TO WIN (+170)
(Note: I’m risking 2.00 units to win 3.40 units)
The Bruins won Game 1 4-1, but it could have been a different story. The Maple Leafs hit the crossbar with under 30 seconds to go in the 1st period that would of put them up 2-1. Instead Boston came down the ice on the rebound from that shot and scored to make it 2-1 Boston heading into the 1st intermission. After that the Leafs got off their game, and Boston dominated most of the play. Maple Leafs coach Randy Carlyle is expected to make some line up changes, and with the nerves from the first game out of their systems I expect a much better game from Toronto. The Leafs played the Bruins to 4 tight games during the regular season (winning one and losing another in shootout after leading for a lot of the game) and I think that is what we get tonight – a close game that could go either way. The Bruins of course deserve to be the favorites tonight, but I don’t think Toronto should be sitting at +170. I like the value at +170 and will take that for 2 units.
