We went with the Wild as big +160 underdogs for our Game of the Week, but unfortunately they lost 3-0.  The Wild’s starting goalie Josh Harding was injured early and back up (which is their third goalie) Darcy Kuemper had to come into the game.  He played OK but let in the first shot he faced which really changed the momentum of the game.  The Wild outshot Chicago 25-24 but couldn’t get anything past Crawford.

It wasn’t all bad though last night as we CASH our 5 UNIT Game of the Month Underdog play on the Sharks to win the series.  San Jose won in overtime last night to sweep the Canucks 4-0 in the first round.  I really like the value getting the Sharks as underdogs in that one, but I didn’t expect it to be that easy.  We picked up 6.15 units on that one, making it a +2.15 unit night overall.  It would of been nice to win both plays but we will take it and move on.  We are now 3-1 with our biggest 5 UNIT Game of the Month plays.

We also enjoyed watching the Senators come back from down 2-0 to win 3-2 in overtime, which puts our 4 UNIT series play on them at +140 looking good as they lead that series 3-1.

Tonight we’ve got 4 more games to enjoy, and I’ve got one play going…

2 UNIT = Boston Bruins @ Toronto Maple Leafs – MAPLE LEAFS TO WIN (+122)
(Note: I’m risking 2.00 units to win 2.44 units)

The Bruins opened this series up with a 4-1 win on home ice.  We then came in with a play on the Leafs to win at a nice +170 price and cashed that as the Leafs won 4-2 in Boston.  On Monday night the Leafs played well but eventually loss 5-2 with an empty net.  Toronto outshot Boston 47-38 in the game and a few bad turnovers and poor defensive plays lead to Boston’s goals.  Again the Maple Leafs looked a little nervous in their first home game, but I expect them to be fine for tonight’s game.  Randy Carlyle has made some adjustments for Toronto and if the Leafs can limit their mistakes I think they even up the series.  I will take Toronto to win at a pretty good price at home.
