Wow, some exciting NHL playoff hockey last night.
I flew into Panama City Beach, Florida yesterday and boy is it nice to get out of the cold Canadian weather! Sorry about not posting yesterday but the only play I had went at SportsPicksKing.com with the Blackhawks as underdogs. I thought that was a solid price on them extending the series with Bolland back, but didn’t expect them to give it to the Canucks like they did.
Lets get into tonight’s pick..
NHL Betting Picks for Wednesday, April 20th:
Philadelphia Flyers @ Buffalo Sabres – SABRES TO WIN (-120)
The Flyers won on Monday night in Buffalo to take a 2-1 lead in this best of seven. After dropping Game 1 at home 1-0 the Flyers have won consecutive games coming into tonight. Brian Boucher has taken over the starting role between the pipes for Philadelphia, and stopped 35 of 37 shots on Monday night. Ryan Miller will need to step it up tonight as they can’t afford to go down 3-1 heading back to Philadelphia. Miller stopped 35 shots in Game 1 for a shutout, but has since struggled losing Game 2 and 3. Monday’s game included an empty net tally from the Flyers, and the Sabres actually outshot Philly 37-26. If Buffalo can hold Philadelphia to 26 shots again tonight I think we can expect Ryan Miller to step up in what can pretty much be called a must win for the Sabres. Note that the Sabres are 5-1 in their last 6 home games, and the Flyers are just 1-6 in their last 7 games following a win. Buffalo comes out tonight hard and evens the series heading back to Philly. Take the Sabres on the moneyline at -120.
