NHL Picks for April 6th

Getting this pick up late sorry guys, I won’t do any talking and I’ll get right into the picks..

Oh and my write ups might be a little shorter today, but I put a lot of time into my picks like normal (just short on time to give my explanations).

NHL Betting Picks for Wednesday, April 6th:

Phoenix Coyotes @ Los Angeles Kings – COYOTES TO WIN (+125) – It is possible that this could be a 4 vs 5 match up in the Western Conference, with positioning still up for grabs in the West.  The Coyotes and Kings both sit with 79 games played and 96 points.  Both teams have their starters in net, with Bryzgalov and Quick.  Phoenix dropped their last game 4-3 in shootout to the struggling Avalanche, and have lost two of their last three games , but have won 8 of their last 11 games overall.  Bryzgalov has been playing great, allowing more than 2 goals just 3 times in his last 10 starts.  The Kings are coming off a brutal 6-1 loss to the Sharks, who are another potential playoff match up for them.  The Coyotes have taken 3 of these two 5 meetings this season, and are 5-2 in their last 7 meetings overall.  Los Angeles will have a tough time scoring on Bryzgalov without Kopitar and Williams and with their defensive style, and I think we are going to see a very tight game here tonight.  I like the Coyotes to come out on top in a big Western Conference match up.  Take Phoenix on the m/l.

San Jose Sharks @ Anaheim Ducks – OVER 5.5 GOALS (-105) – Not many teams are playing better than the San Jose Sharks right now.  The Sharks have won 4 straight and 8 of their last 9 games, and they are averaging 4.60 goals per game in their last 5.  These two teams met on Saturday night with the Sharks winning 4-2.  Anaheim is scoring an average of 3.20 goals per game in their last 5, but giving up 3 goals per game over that span.  The OVER has hit in 3 of their 5 meetings this season.  Note that the OVER is 8-1-1 in the Sharks last 10 games and 5-1-1 in their last 7 road games.  The OVER is also 9-1-2 in their last 12 vs Western Conference opponents.   The OVER is 4-0 in the Ducks last 4 games and 5-1 in their last 6 home games.  The OVER is also 10-4 in their last 14 games as a home underdog (they are now slight dogs) and 4-1 in their last 5 vs a team with a winning record.  Niemi gets the night off for the Sharks and Niittymaki has just 2 games in his last 10 appearances where he has had a SV % above .900.  I expect another 4-2, 4-3 type game here tonight and I think we have value on the OVER.
