NHL Picks for April 7th

3

Our second straight 1-1 night as we just break even again.  Better than a loss, but I don’t like it.  We had the OVER in the Sharks/Ducks game which easily cashed with a 6-2 final, but missed on our Phoenix underdog play as they lost in shootout.

There isn’t much action here tonight in the NHL, but if you are wanting some betting action check out my MLB Picks site.  I’ve started 5-2 and am ready to have a another big MLB season. Lots of hockey left though and my time is split between the two – good thing I do this full time.

NHL Betting Picks for Thursday, April 7th:

Minnesota Wild @ Vancouver Canucks – OVER 5 GOALS (-125) – This game won’t mean much to both teams, but I do expect both teams to open things up somewhat.  The OVER is 3-2 in these two teams 5 meetings this season, with only one meeting going under 5 goals (a 4-0 Wild win).  Also note the OVER is 8-2 in their last 10 meetings overall, and 4-0 in their last 4 meetings in Vancouver.   Neither team has been putting up offensive numbers lately, but the Canucks are averaging 3.20 goals per game in front of their home crowd and the Wild are giving up 3.40 goals against per game in their last 5.  The OVER is 5-1-1 in the Wild’s last 7 vs Western Conference teams and 3-1-1 in their last 5 vs a team with a winning record.  The OVER is 7-3 in the Canucks last 10 games as a big favorite of -201 or greater.  Lets go with the OVER here.

I will be back tomorrow with a possible GOW/GOM 🙂
