NHL PIcks for April 9th

Well what do ya know… another exclusive pick winner last night ūüôā

I hit my Game of the Month (GOM) last night with the Hurricanes.  Another EASY winner as the Hurricanes rolled to a 6-1 victory over the Thrashers.  That puts me at 3-0 on the year with my GOM plays and 17-6 in exclusive plays.

I also went 2 for 2 in my plays posted here at the blog, giving us a perfect 3 for 3 night and a huge cash.  It has been an awesome season and that was a great way to wrap up the regular season.

The NHL regular season is wrapping up tomorrow and you probably won’t see a lot of plays tonight or tomorrow with a lot of meaningless games, but I will be in full force during the playoffs. ¬†Can’t wait.

One play here today…

NHL Betting Picks for Saturday April 9th:

Tampa Bay Lightning @ Carolina Hurricanes – HURRICANES TO WIN (-163) – The Hurricanes can clinch a playoff spot tonight with a win over the Lightning, or will be in if the Rangers lose this afternoon to the Devils. ¬†The Lightning have locked up 5th place in the East and this game is very much meaningless to them. ¬†Back up Mike Smith will be in net for the Lightning and I expect them to rest any players who have minor injuries (Victor Hedman) in order to gear up for the Stanley Cup playoffs. ¬†Cam Ward has been exceptional lately for the Hurricanes posting a 5-0-1 record in his last 6 starts. ¬†The Hurricanes are averaging over 3 goals per game at home this season and 4 goals per game in their last 5, while only allowing 1.40 goals against per game in their last 5. ¬†Although Tampa will try to bring some intensity, they won’t have near the motivation as Carolina who should be in a do or die scenario at home. ¬†Look for the Hurricanes to ride this momentum and book themselves a spot in the 2011 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs with a win tonight in front of a rocking home crowd.

  1. What do you think about Buffalo tonight? Seems like there is value at 1.74 with Miller starting against measley Columbus…is there an injury I should know about?

  2. It’s worth a closer look but I think it might be a let down spot. They certainly won’t have the energy they’ve brought lately you’d think. I’m sure there was some celebrating the clinch last night and it will be hard for them to re-focus… I’m just staying away. Good luck
