Nice winner last night taking the Islanders at -110. New York rolled to a 5-1 victory over the Panthers giving us a winner on our only Monday play.
We also had our 4th straight winning pick in the Sports Picks King system (and 3 of those 4 have been big plays -“GOW” type picks). We had the OVER between the Blackhawks and the Blues and the final score was 5-3.. another easy winner :). Click here to learn more about the system.
I am keeping my eye open for a GOW or GOM pick, and I should be able to find one here before the weekend. If you are not signed up to receive these exclusive picks you can click here to sign up for free!
On to tonight’s picks… there are 10 NHL games on board and I have a couple plays I like.
NHL Betting Picks for Tuesday, February 22nd:
San Jose Sharks @ Detroit Red Wings – UNDER 5.5 GOALS (-105) – The Sharks are playing great hockey winning three straight heading into tonight and 12 of their last 15 games. Their success is coming from solid defensive hockey, as they have allowed just 1.60 goals against per game on average over their last 10. The Red Wings have won 5 straight games, where they have only given up an average of 1.80 goals against per game. The Sharks are averaging just 2.4 goals per game over their last five and the UNDER is 7-0-1 in their last 8 games. The UNDER is also 5-0 in the Sharks last 5 games as an underdog. Note that the UNDER is 5-0 in the Wings last 5 vs Western Conference opponents and 5-1 in their last 6 games as a home favorite. Although these two teams often play the over against each other, I think we can expect a playoff type atmosphere tonight in a battle of two of the Western Conferences hottest teams. Take the value on the UNDER here.
New Jersey Devils @ Dallas Stars – DEVILS TO WIN (-125) – Wow, the Devils are a completely different team from the first half of the season. New Jersey is 15-3 in their last 18 games overall, and have won 7 straight heading into tonight. On the other hand the Dallas Stars have dropped 4 straight and 8 of their last 9 games. The Stars completed a trade with Pittsburgh yesterday, shipping out James Neal who had 21 goals on the season. New Jersey will stick with Hedberg in net, who has won 7 straight starts and allowed just 8 goals in those starts. The Devils are averaging just 1 goal against in their last 5 games, while the Stars are averaging 3.6 goals against in their past 5. Note that the Devils are 6-1 in their last 7 games as a favorite and 4-1 in their last 5 as a road favorite of -110 to -150. New Jersey is also 4-0 in their last 4 games vs a team with a winning record. The Stars are 0-7 in their last 7 games as an underdog and 3-8 in their last 11 games as a home underdog of +110 to +150. I look for the Devils to keep rolling tonight against a Stars team that is having a lot of struggles. Take New Jersey on the moneyline.
