We saw some profits last night, although only small profits we will take it of course. 1 for 2 with our picks, as we cashed in with the UNDER 5 in the Nashville/Calgary game with a 3-1 final. I went with another big dog with Dallas who had been playing awesome on the road. They got thumped by the Canucks. We will take the small win and move onto today where I look for more winners.
There are 8 games on the NHL board tonight, and a lot of big favourites. My picks for tonight are below.

NHL Betting Picks for Tuesday, January 25th:
Anaheim Ducks @ Columbus Blue Jackets – DUCKS TO WIN (+118) – The Ducks come into tonight’s game a pretty confident bunch winning 9 of their last 12 games. Their struggles have come on the road this season, but they are 2-1 on their current road trip and are a 7-3 in their last 10 games played in Columbus. The Blue Jackets have only won 3 games in their last 10, and have been on a pretty big slide since the start of the season. Anaheim is 5-1 in their last 6 vs a team with a losing record, and 6-2 in their last 8 games as an underdog. Columbus is just 5-16 in their last 21 vs Western Conference teams and 15-43 in their last 58 vs a team with a winning record. In my eyes the Ducks are a playoff caliber team, while the Blue Jackets team isn’t. Coming into this game on a roll I look for the Ducks to keep playing well, and see some value here with them listed as decent sized underdogs.
Minnesota Wild @ Chicago Blackhawks – WILD TO WIN (+178) and UNDER 5.5 GOALS (-123) – The Wild aren’t getting enough credit here again against the defending Stanley Cup champs. Minnesota has won 3 of their last 4 games and 5 of their last 7 road games. They are 4-0 in their last 4 road games vs a team with a winning home record, and 4-1 in their last 5 games as a big underdog of +151 to +200. Yes the Blackhawks are playing good hockey, but they don’t deserve the -200 line put on them tonight. Chicago is coming off of a 4-1 home loss against the Flyers on Sunday and again will turn to Corey Crawford in net. Crawford has been great on the season with his 16-9-2 record and 2.12 GAA. The Blackhawks are allowing just 2 goals against per game over their last 5. The Wild are allowing only 1.80 goals against per game over their past 5 and have their starter Backstrom in net against the Blackhawks. Note that the UNDER is 7-3 in the Wild’s last 10 games, and 4-1 in their last 5 vs a team with a winning record. The UNDER is 6-1 in the Blackhawks last 7 overall, and 6-2 in their last 8 home games vs a team with a winning road record. The UNDER is also 6-1-2 in their last 9 meetings, and 4-0-1 int heir last 5 meetings in Chicago. Everything is pointing towards a low scoring, tight playoff type hockey game, and we all know that any team can come out a winner in those type of games. Get the WILD at a solid price tonight, and side with the UNDER.
