That’s more like it – 2 for 2 last night. The Blackhawks/Coyotes stayed comfortably under the 5.5 with a 2-1 Chicago win, and the Ducks got things done in OT as small favorites. Congrats to those who followed the plays.
March has been a bit of a roller coaster and I look to finish it off strong, as we get closer to the NHL playoffs. If you aren’t signed up to receive my exclusive picks just click here to sign up for free.
Not sure if any of you are golf bettors at all, but it’s a great way to profit if you follow it close enough (or if you’re like me and know a great golf handicapper). My buddy Steve is a great golf handicapper and tipped me off to bet on Webb Simpson at 120/1 for this past weekends PGA tournament. Well yesterday he was the leader and co-leader for the entire day, but he bogeyed the 18th to lose by 1 stroke. Just that close to a HUGE payout at the 120 to 1 odds. Hockey may be more exciting to watch on TV than golf, but if you have a chance at winning a couple thousand dollars on a small wager it suddenly becomes a little more fun 😉
Anyways, on to today’s NHL pick. Only 2 games on the NHL betting board and I have one play.
NHL Betting Picks for Monday, March 21st:
Pittsburgh Penguins @ Detroit Red Wings – UNDER 5.5 GOALS (-125) – When these two teams meet we can always expect a high energy game. These two teams met in January in Pittsburgh, where the Penguins won 4-1 despite being outshot 37-29. The Penguins are coming off a 5-2 loss yesterday to the Rangers at home. Detroit won 4 straight games before dropping their Saturday night game in Nashville 3-1, and again are facing some injury troubles. Hudler, Franzen and Datsyuk will all most likely miss tonight’s game. Of course the Penguins are without their snipers Crosby and Malkin, and now most likely lose role player Matt Cooke due to suspension for his nasty head check in last nights game. The UNDER is 6-2 in the Penguins last 8 road games, and 6-1-1 in their last 8 games vs Western Conference opponents. The UNDER is also 6-1 in their last 7 games as a road underdog. The UNDER is 5-1 in the Red Wings last 6 games overall, and 6-0 in their last 6 games as a home favorite of -151 to -200. The UNDER is also 6-0 in these two teams last 6 meetings, and 5-0 in their last 5 meetings in Detroit. Everything points to the UNDER 5.5 tonight, and I like it a lot at just -125. Lay it down on the UNDER.
