Another off night last night as the Blue Jackets came close, but lost 5-4 in shootout to the Blues. I am getting back on track tonight with 9 NHL games on board.

Alright lets get right into tonight’s picks…
NHL Betting Picks for Tuesday, March 8th:
Buffalo Sabres @ Pittsburgh Penguins – SABRES TO WIN (+107) – Buffalo has jumped up into a playoff position in the East as they have won 5 of their last 7 games and got points in both losses over that stretch. In their last 5 games the Sabres have been averaging 3 goals per game. The Pittsburgh Penguins have seen their struggles winning just 3 times in their past 11 games. Over their last 5 games the Penguins are giving up an average of 3.20 goals against. The Penguins are just 4-12 in their last 16 home games vs a team with a winning road record. The Penguins are also 0-4 in their last 4 games after a win. Note that Buffalo is 6-1 in their last 7 road games and 5-2 in their last 7 vs a team with a winning record. The Sabres are playing desperate hockey as they try and push for a playoff spot. I look for them to come out a lot more hungry and continue to play solid hockey here tonight. Buffalo as a small underdog is the play tonight.
Ottawa Senators @ New Jersey Devils – SENATORS +1.5 (-135) [puck line bet] – Since joining the Senators Craig Anderson is 4-3 with a 1.56 GAA and .952 SV%. Ottawa has actually won 5 of their last 10 games and 3 of their last 4 road games coming into tonight’s showdown with the Devils. Over their past 5 games the Sens are allowing just 2.20 goals per game. The Devils have been on an absolute tear in the second half of the season, but they aren’t winning games by putting up big numbers. The Devils are playing exceptional defensive hockey. New Jersey has won 8 straight home games by just 1 goal. Also note that these two teams 2 meetings this year were both decided by 1 goal with each team taking one of them. Over their last 5 games the Devils are scoring just 1.80 goals per game and they are allowing just 1.40 goals against on average. The total is set at 5 with the under paying just -105. We can expect a low scoring game, and I think the Sens can match the play of the Devils. I’m loving the value here getting the goal with the Senators and think they can keep it a 1 goal game, if not pull off an upset. Take the Sens on the puck line.
We also have a BIG NHL play going in the Sports Picks King system (we are 13-4-1 in our last 18 picks)… click here to get it.
