NHL Picks for November 13th

Sticking with an underdog again here on Sunday…

Philadelphia Flyers @ Florida Panthers – PANTHERS TO WIN (+115)

(Note: I’m risking 1 unit to win 1.15 units – bet placed at SportsInteraction)

I won’t have a full write up this morning, as my Sunday’s are dedicated to NFL football, but I will include a few stats here.  Both teams enter this afternoon’s game at 8-4-3 on the season.  The Flyers have been off since a Wednesday 2-1 overtime loss against the Tampa Bay Lightning, and have lost 2 of their last 3 games and 4 of their last 7.  Florida has won two straight in impressive fashion, outscoring Toronto and Winnipeg 10-3.  They are 3-0-3 in their last 6 games, losing three straight games in shootout that could have just as easily been wins.  The Panthers powerplay continues to be solid, converting at 24.1% on the year and 26.7% in their last 5.  The time off in Florida might have had a negative effect on this Flyers team, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they came out a little flat this afternoon against the Panthers, who have playing good hockey lately.  Take the Panthers on the moneyline with a generous underdog price tag.

NHL, or icehockey in general, must be the worst sport ever to bet on. So very unpredictable… I like soccer much more

  3. NBA is the easiest to predict. NHL is second. soccer is very hard because of lack of points (goals).

  4. Easiest Betting sport by far is Baseball.

Pro hoops can be tough cause of Gartbage Time at end of games and Team motivation.

I can not begin to tell you of all the horror stories of bets won or lost cause some player either dribbles out without taking the last shot or makes a menaingless 3 pointer at the buzzer to flip the cover.

In Pro Hoops you really do know who the better teams are but will Miami and Lebron really get motivated enuf to beat the woeful Kings by 12 points or will they get a 20 point 3rd quarter league start drifting and win by 8.

NBA totals are the same and teams soemtimes either miss shots or go against type. Especially for the high totals it only takes one bad quarter and the over is done.
