We pick up some profits last night with one of our two underdogs cashing in. The Islanders were blown away 5-0 which I was surprised to see, but the Sharks played a good game and won 3-1 with two third period goals.
Tonight I have one pick locked in from earlier this week, and I’m adding another play below…
2 UNIT = Ottawa Senators @ Montreal Canadiens – SENATORS TO WIN (+150) <– Sent out earlier this week
(Note: I’m risking 2.00 units to win 3.00 units)

2 UNIT = New York Rangers @ Washington Capitals – CAPITALS TO WIN (-122)
(Note: I’m risking 2.00 units to win 1.64 units)
The New York Rangers finished 6th in the Eastern Conference with a 26-18-4 record on the season. They were 10-12-2 on the road this year. The Washington Capitals won the Southeast division finishing 3rd with a 27-18-3 record (1 point more than what New York finished with). The Capitals were a solid 15-8-1 on home ice. Washington started the season struggling quite a bit, but went on a tear in the second half of the year including going 16-5 in their last 21 games. They are also 7-1 in their last 8 home games. New York was battling for a playoff spot late, but they won 5 of their final 6 games to secure a spot. Take note that their final 6 games were all played against non-playoff teams in New Jersey twice, Florida twice, Buffalo and Carolina. Looking back at their schedule they faced playoff teams 12 times on the road and they won just 4 of those 12 games. New York is 1-5 in their last 6 road games vs a team with a home winning % of .600 or higher. These two teams met three times and the Rangers took the first two (with Washington winning the third meeting in shootout). These two teams always seem to meet in the playoffs and we can expect another good series again this year. I’m not sold on the Rangers right now although they played well down the stretch. Washington has been on the best teams in the 2nd half of the season and they’ve been solid all year a home. I’ll lay a bit of chalk taking the Caps at home.
